Portfolio of HWD-designed Web Sites

Herbie Webdesigns began designing web sites in July of 1995. The first web site was in fact Herb Hollar's Masters in Mass Communications project at the University of South Carolina College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Since then, HWD has designed a number of sites. The more significant of which are listed below.

CCGSA

When your soccer club has a coach who is a web designer, this is what you get. I love little scribbly figures.

Swing Golf Wear

For a low-cost web solution, this one-pager is a good example. The order form makes a record in a FileMaker Pro datebase which calculates applicable sales tax and shipping. Then once the order is confirmed by the user, the order is emailed to the appropriate addresses. Neat, ay?

Colite International, Ltd.

HWD thought that Colite's site should have an attractive look, load quickly, and be easy to navigate. In just two clicks a user can find that Colite manufactures the exact size sign or outdoor ad structure the user needs.

LaRochelle and Associates

A simple, elegant appearance, the LA site promotes LA design, art direction, web design, and other art services. The emphasis is on making the portfolio and other art images figure to the ground of all the other elements of the pages.

Stevenson Outdoor

The breadth of the Stevenson Outdoor Communication site required much pre-html planning. Once the content plan and design scheme were developed, HWD implemented it using as few pages and graphics as possible to maximize the finding and absorption of information.

USC CJMC

What began it all, the USC College Journalism and Mass Communications web site is a leviathan of pages and graphics. Now under the management of current CJMC graduate assistants, the site is evolving while keeping with the original objectives and design scheme set in Herb Hollar's MMC project paper (24k Mac Word 5.sit, 65k RTF Mac or DOS).
