Herbie Webdesigns produces visually attractive, easy to navigate, and well-planned web sites for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. Having designed a number of small, large, and diverse kinds of web sites, the high-quality work of Herbie Webdesigns is founded upon experience, design theory, and research. Herbie Webdesigns' design rates depend upon the scope of the proposed web site. And remember: when it comes to web design, you get what you pay for.

Visually Attractive and Cohesive
In web sites, information must be presented in an attractive and cohesive manner. A good content plan--deciding where to put what--achieves half of this goal. The other half depends on the use of color, type, and graphics. more...

Intuitive Interface
Basically, navigation should be an intuitive, "successful engagement" with the site. more...

Well-Planned
The structure of a web site must also provide information in a logical and easy-to-find way. more...

What It Costs

Housing rates and information are available in the Associates section of this site. Herbie Webdesigns provides web site design in 3 categories, ranging from about $400 for a simple site to about $3,000 for a larger and more intricate site. Special rates for not-for-profit organizations are also available.

In addition to a category-based flat fee, there are charges for consulting and graphics production. Consulting (charged at $50/hour) refers to web site content planning, design scheme development, and time spent solving specific problems encountered in the development process. Consulting may take place in the presence of the customer, in communication with the customer, and at times in the absence of the customer. Graphics production (charged at $25/hour) includes scanning, photo retouching, typography, and general image creation (like buttons and image maps). Additional fees may also be applied.

There are numerous ways to save a lot of money by minimizing consulting and graphics production fees. I think you might want to check them out.

More specific design rate information is available.
