Abstract

This project is the creation of a World Wide Web site for the USC College of Journalism and Mass Communications. The project consists of two elements: (1) the actual creation of the web site, and (2) a document discussing web publishing and the CJMC web site.

The first part of the project, creating the web site, consisted of (1) making a content plan, (2) developing a graphic design scheme, and (3) implementing the site on-line.

The second part of the project presents a review of literature about the World Wide Web, web publishing, and design principles. Following this review is a discussion of how the CJMC web site content plan and design scheme were developed. Predictions for future modifications and changes to the CJMC web site are presented at the end of the second part of this project.
